Ever since I was a child I’ve always heard that you are able to grant all wishes and put a smile on faces. So this year at my wits end, I decided to send to you my Xmas wishes.
I am a single, hardworking girl with a widowed mother and siblings to take care of. I came to Lagos where I neither have family nor friends to look for greener pastures but I’m about to become homeless.
When I moved to Lagos early this year, I desperately needed accommodation and I rented a room inside a 3bedroom flat from someone. Little did I know that the owner of the house had given him a quit notice to vacate the apartment and he didn’t bother to tell me until some weeks back when the landlord came threatening to throw everyone out to the street by December. As the day progresses I become more and more scared as I have tried everything I could to raise money to rent another place to no avail.
Dear Santa please grant this poor desperate girl this Christmas gift of a place to stay.
My second wish Santa is to get sponsorship for my education so that I can continue and finish my program in Unilag when school resumes to enable me get a better job than the one I’m doing at the moment.
Thank you dear Santa for your time and I hope you’ll make my Christmas memorable.
